Election-related calls

No election-related RH Line calls will publish after Sunday, Nov. 4

Distracted drivers

Thank you to the road worker that posted comments about texting and driving. As a school bus driver, I couldn’t agree more how frequently it’s obvious someone is texting and not paying attention to driving, not just in work zones, but stoplights, school zones, turn lanes. The list goes on and on. It’s just not the proper thing to do or safe, texting while driving.

Be kind

Happy November. I hope people will be kind and treat one another nicely.

Don’t blame Trump

I just don’t understand why President Trump is being blamed by the protesters and the liberal media for the anti-Semitic shootings in the Pittsburgh synagogue. The shooter hated the president because Trump supports Israel. Yet Trump’s daughter, son-in-law and their children are practicing Jews. Trump moved the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Clinton, Bush and Obama promised to do that, but they never did, yet the liberal media and the protesters blame Trump for inciting anti-Semitic violence.

Don’t vote for Dems

Clearly on a national level, the Democratic Party is for open borders, for higher taxes, for more regulations on basically everything. They want to take away your Second Amendment rights, your freedom to carry arms. So anybody voting Democratic better analyze your thinking and vote differently.

Open your wallets

Thanks, RH for the headlines calculating how much our taxes are going to go up if the school taxes pass. You forgot to calculate how much our taxes are going to go up if Jared Polis … becomes our governor. Open up your wallets, Loveland.

An eye on Trump

Keep an eye on the president, because if you want see somebody that’s running scared, he’s the one.

Amendment 74

So this Amendment 74 says if some guy wants to put a junk yard between my house and the neighbor’s house, he can or must be paid not to. The city would just have to use our taxpayers money to pay him off. That’s not right. I’m against this Amendment 74.

Trump hits back

For years and years, the left has verbally abused and bashed anyone opposed, with no repercussions, especially from the far left press. Well, surprise! Trump hits back, and they can’t stand it. Of course, it’s his fault. You’re like nasty little kid who goes crying to the teacher that “(he) hit me back!” Well, if you don’t like to be hit, then quit hitting.

Proposition 112

(Opposition to) Proposition 112 is being forced down our throats by oil and gas companies wanting profits spending millions on slick ads and huge signs. Employees want jobs, but they can have jobs with solar and wind energy, which won’t threaten lives. We don’t want leaking pipelines under our homes and schools and buildings, threatening fire, or wells 500 feet away causing lung diseases like asthma. Children shouldn’t have to choose between health versus job.

Jared Polis

I truly expected to open the paper this morning and look at the RH Line filled with calls about the paper printing the call-in about Jared Polis being gay. I don’t know why the Reporter-Herald feels they need to print that garbage. Who cares if he’s gay? What I do care about is the Reporter-Herald needing to put it in the paper that some idiot called in and was offended that Jared Polis is gay. Shame on the Reporter-Herald.

I really don’t care that Jared Polis is gay, but I do care that his leftist policies that he supports will try to turn Colorado into another California. If you’ve been paying attention to what’s been happening there: The taxes are outrageous. The policies the state is doing are abusive to normal people. They have poop in their streets in San Francisco and have to hire people to clean up the mess. They’re persistently lacking water because they’ve had such bad environmental policies dealing with the natural resources. We don’t want that coming here.

Bright headlights

I’m calling in regard to the comments about the bright headlights. I believe we already have a law. Those LED bar lights are for off road use only, not to be used within the city. We just need someone, I think, to enforce the law.

Donated dresses

A while back, you covered the story about a lady who collects prom dresses and donates them or sells them at a low cost to girls. Could you publish who she is again? I have a number of gowns from cruises that I’d like to donate.

Editor’s note: That woman is Alma Blanco, who manages the clothing department at House of Neighborly Service. We wrote about her in March.

Liberal Reporter-Herald

Why is the Reporter-Herald printing so much bunk? Isn’t the newspaper supposed to report on things and reserve editorializing for the opinion page? They sure don’t anymore. You could bet your life literally on the fact that most newspapers in this country — and the Reporter-Herald is right there with them — are biased, opinionated and liberal and called their blatant propaganda “reporting.” What a shame.

Vote no on Berthoud Fire 7B

Regarding Berthoud Fire Protection District’s Ballot Issue 7B. Vote no. Residential assessment fees need to drop, per the Gallagher Amendment, especially for senior citizens that are retired. Additionally, the Berthoud Fire Protection District administration and board will be receiving $2,000 plus for every new residential home built in the fire district.

Divisive Democrats

I would suggest that people do some serious thinking before they vote in a few days, that they look at all the divisive racial and political things that happened with Obama’s administration, including ignoring the constitution and snubbing laws, and consider that is what liberalism and Democrats are all about. They want you to divide us so they can put it back together as a socialist country. Don’t kiss your freedoms goodbye. Don’t vote-in liberals.

Send troops here

On the president sending 15,000 troops down to the border: I personally would feel safer if he would send the troops to protect our schools, churches, synagogues, than sending folks to the board.
